NIDC Annual Soiree Celebrated the Spirit of the Bronx!
NIDC hosted its signature fundraising event on Thursday, October 16th at 6 PM at Split Rock Golf Course, celebrating 43 years of empowering generations in the Bronx.
This unforgettable evening brought together local leaders, neighbors, and supporters to honor the strength and spirit of the Bronx while raising critical funds for youth programs, family services, housing advocacy, and more! Kenny Agosto emcee’d the lively evening and Assembly Member John Zaccaro, Jr. gave welcoming remarks, tracing his beginnings in service to his early work with NIDC. And, guests were treated to a fabulous performance by the NIDC Cheer Team! NIDC also launched our newest video, showcasing our impact and how we are meeting the moment to make the Bronx brighter.
Honoring Community Champions
We were also thrilled to recognize two outstanding honorees whose work continues to uplift Bronx communities:
Marcos Crespo, Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at Montefiore Medical Center
Serena Muñiz , Assistant Vice President of Community Impact, Strategic Communications and Marketing at Union Community Health Center
Hon, Eliezer Rodriguez, NYC Judge of the Civil Court, also spoke and shared his deep commitment to both the borough and to Puerto Rico, delving into what motivated him to launch his years of dedicated service as well as create his organization Project Club Clemente.
The night included dancing–and also a costume contest! Prizes were awarded!
