Since 1982, the Neighborhood Initiative Development Corporation has been dedicated to building thriving communities and creating an ever-brighter future in the Bronx.
A Legacy of Impact
For over four decades, NIDC has played a pivotal role in stabilizing, revitalizing, and advancing the Bronx. We began by preserving housing, advocating for tenants, and supporting landlords in improving building conditions. As the community changed, so did our focus - expanding into education, career readiness, and community development. Today, our programs continue to address systemic barriers while empowering Bronx communities and families to thrive.
