Residents at Crotona V/VI were excited to welcome the community’s first annual canned food giveaway, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The session equipped NIDC staff from across all our afterschool sites with essential knowledge about asthma triggers, early warning signs, and best practices for assisting youth who may experience asthma-related challenges while in our care.

Einstein College of Medicine’s dermatology student group partnered with NIDC Youth Programs to present the “Good Skin Knowledge” initiative at PS/MS 89. Designed for 5th–8th graders, the two-day program featured four interactive modules covering sun safety, acne, and skin reactions to bugs and plants.
