A Spooktacular Evening of Fun at Union Street Flats!
Halloween came early to Union Street Flats! On October 20, 2026, Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation (NIDC) hosted a Spooky Social, bringing families together for an evening filled with laughter, games, and Halloween fun!
Held from 5 PM to 7 PM, the celebration welcomed 17 attendees, creating a festive space where young residents could meet their neighbors, make new friends, and enjoy the Halloween spirit.
Throughout the evening, children and adults had the opportunity to get creative with face painting while enjoying snacks and refreshments. The excitement continued with classic childhood games, including freeze tag, Red Light, Green Light, and musical chairs, where participants competed for fun prizes!
Beyond the Halloween festivities, the Spooky Social provided families with an opportunity to connect and strengthen relationships within their building. Parents shared positive feedback, expressing their excitement about seeing the children come together, interact, and enjoy themselves.
The event highlighted how even the simplest activities can create meaningful opportunities for neighbors to connect and build a stronger sense of community.
Through celebrations like the Spooky Social, NIDC continues to create welcoming spaces where families can come together, children can build friendships, and community connections can grow!
