Coffee, Conversations, and Community at Norgate Plaza
Sometimes, meaningful community connections begin with something as simple as a cup of coffee!
On September 24, 2026, Neighborhood Initiatives Development Corporation (NIDC) hosted a Coffee Talk at the Norgate Plaza Community Room, bringing residents together for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and community engagement.
Held from 2 PM to 4 PM, the gathering welcomed 12 attendees, including 11 adults and one child, who had the opportunity to enjoy coffee and donuts while learning more about NIDC's available services and resources.
The event provided a relaxed and welcoming environment where residents could meet NIDC staff, share their experiences, and discuss the types of programs and activities they would like to see offered in their community space.
Throughout the afternoon, residents opened up about their everyday experiences, expressed interest in accessing available services, and shared ideas for future events that could bring neighbors together.
Beyond introducing NIDC's services, Coffee Talk served as an opportunity to listen to residents and better understand their interests and needs. Their feedback will help inform future activities and encourage greater participation in the community space.
Through gatherings like Coffee Talk, NIDC continues to strengthen neighborhood connections, encourage open communication, and create spaces where residents feel welcomed, heard, and supported.
