NIDC joined with over a 1,000 of our neighbors and had a blast in the Bronx! Our Annual Block Party was a day filled with fun, games, giveaways and fabulous music and food. We even had the NIDC Cheer Team showing their award-winning moves in their vibrant new uniforms.

Thanks to our sponsor, Optimum, and to all our wonderful community partners:

FDNY, who provided fire safety info and resources and NYC Emergency Management, who also provided emergency booklets as well as kits; Home Depot who showed up with kid-friendly fun wood building activities; and MetroPlus, who donated a bike for giveaway

The community also received wonderful donations of gift cards and books from Chipolte, Raising Canes, Chick Fil-A East Fordham and Penguin Random House Publishing

NiDC’s Social Worker, Onelilove Alston, was also on hand to represent our Family Support Network (FSN) and provide all with helpful information on dealing with stress, emergencies and the everyday challenges of parenting.

Plus, a shout out of thanks to DJ Lexs/Stylistic DJs and photographer FlashbyZee for adding to and capturing the excitement of the day!
