Celebrating Community at the Older Adult Valentine Party

On February 5, 2026, NIDC welcomed more than 100 older adults to a special Older Adult Valentine Party at 190 Hollywood Avenue. The afternoon brought seniors together for connection, celebration, and meaningful conversation about the resources available to them through NIDC.

While the event offered a festive Valentine’s atmosphere, its purpose extended beyond celebration. The gathering created an opportunity to inform older adults about the social services and support programs NIDC provides. Many attendees were eager to learn how we can assist with navigating community resources and addressing everyday needs.

Throughout the event, seniors engaged with staff, asked thoughtful questions, and expressed appreciation for having direct access to information in a welcoming setting.
