ECG | Family Vision Board Night at Eastchester Community Gardens
On February 11th, NIDC’s Youth and Families department hosted Family Vision Board Night at Eastchester Community Gardens, bringing families together for an evening of creativity, reflection, and goal setting.
Parents, caregivers, and children gathered to imagine what 2026 could look like for them. Through the creation of vision boards, families explored their hopes for the year ahead, from personal growth and academic success to health, stability, and new opportunities. The activity encouraged meaningful conversations between parents and children about dreams, goals, and the steps needed to bring those goals to life.
Vision boarding is more than a craft. It is a powerful tool that helps individuals visualize their future, clarify priorities, and build motivation. For families, it becomes an opportunity to align intentions and support one another’s growth.
Held at Eastchester Community Gardens, the event provided a welcoming environment where families could slow down, reflect, and create together. The shared experience reinforced the importance of intentional goal setting and strong family connections.
At NIDC, we believe in supporting families not only in times of need, but also in moments of growth. Family Vision Board Night reflects our commitment to helping families dream, plan, and move forward together.
