Celebrating Women’s Leadership with Orisha Wholeness
In recognition of Women’s History Month, NIDC was proud to celebrate the leadership and impact of women across the Bronx at the Women in Leadership Empowerment Dialogue hosted by Orisha Wholeness.
The event brought together women leaders, community voices, and changemakers for a meaningful conversation centered on empowerment, leadership, and community impact. Held at Poe Park Visitor Center, the gathering created space for dialogue, connection, and reflection on the contributions of women shaping their communities.
During the event, NIDC’s Director of Community Engagement, Jessica Toro, was recognized among a group of women leaders for her dedication to serving Bronx communities. Through her work, Jessica continues to strengthen partnerships, expand outreach, and connect residents with resources and opportunities across the borough.
