The People’s Money
Participatory Budgeting Program
Your city, your budget.
Did you know you can help decide how city funds are spent in your community? The People’s Money is NYC’s annual, city wide participatory budgeting program – and NIDC makes sure Bronx residents have a voice in the process. This project is led by NIDC and the Belmont & East Tremont TRIE Coalition.
You can get involved by:
Attending idea-generation sessions to suggest community projects.
Spreading the word and voting to bring funding to local initiatives.
Helping neighbors participate through translation services and outreach.
Last year, our coalition secured funding for community-driven projects with over 2,000 votes. Join us and help bring funding to projects that matter to you.
