NIDC Youth Programs Celebrate Summer Camp with a Splish Splash Day

As Summer Camp came to a close, NIDC’s Youth Programs gave participants one more opportunity to make memories together with a fun-filled day at Splish Splash Waterpark on August 7.

The end-of-summer trip brought together 68 children and 15 staff members for a day of waterpark rides, food, and time spent enjoying the park as a community. Staff members divided into groups alongside the students, allowing participants to explore and enjoy different parts of the park together throughout the day.

The trip was planned as a celebration of the summer and an opportunity for participants and staff to end the camp season on a high note. Beyond the rides and activities, the day gave everyone a chance to simply enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the experiences and memories built throughout Summer Camp.

The students’ reactions made it clear that the day was one they did not want to end. By the time the trip was over, many participants were already hoping they could return to the park again next year and see the staff and their fellow campers once more.

NIDC is proud to provide young people with opportunities to learn, connect, and create positive memories throughout the summer. The Splish Splash trip was a joyful way to close out another Summer Camp season and celebrate the community built along the way.
