Community Clean-up at Walter Gladwin Park!

What a better way to spend a fall day than to make East Tremont shine!

NIDC brought together over 30 volunteers on Nov. 8th and partnered with Banco Popular, the Mary Mitchell Family and Youth Center, The Bronx is Blooming, Community Board 6 and ACE to clean along the East Tremont corridor, mulch tree pits and plant tulips for spring.

The volunteers–young and old–were happy to be a part of NIDC’s broader commitment to strengthening and beautifying the neighborhood. As we joined together to make the day and work go quickly, several merchants came out and thanked us for making the street even more welcoming.

We look forward to seeing the tulips bloom this spring!
