Community Comes Together for East Tremont Spring Cleanup
A strong sense of community was on display during the East Tremont Spring Cleanup on April 11, 2026, as residents, volunteers, and partners came together to beautify the neighborhood.
The cleanup effort focused on East Tremont Avenue between Vyse Avenue and Webster Avenue, where volunteers worked side by side to remove litter and improve the streetscape. At the same time, students from JHS 118 took part in cleaning Walter Gladwin Park, contributing to the effort and taking pride in caring for their local space.
The event brought together a wide range of partners, including VIP Services, ACE Clean Team, NYPD Explorers, and the office of Council Member Oswaldo Feliz. Through collaboration, the cleanup became more than just a one day effort, it reflected a shared commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming community spaces.
Events like the East Tremont Spring Cleanup highlight the power of collective action. By working together, community members and organizations continue to strengthen neighborhood pride and create environments where residents can thrive.
