NIDC Youth Take the Stage at Spring Showcase

Energy, creativity, and confidence filled the room as NIDC youth took the stage for the Spring Showcase on March 26, 2026, at Eastchester Community Gardens.

The evening brought together more than 100 attendees, including youth participants and their families, to celebrate the hard work and dedication developed throughout the program. Centered around the theme “Dream It, Build It, Own It,” the showcase highlighted not only talent, but the growth and self-expression of each participant.

Throughout the night, students performed original poems, choreographed dances, step routines, and a fashion show that quickly became a highlight of the event. Each performance reflected the creativity and confidence that youth have been building, both individually and as a group.

The excitement in the room was shared by families and caregivers, many of whom expressed pride in seeing their children take the spotlight. Returning families noted the continued growth of the program, while new families shared how meaningful it was to see their child represented and celebrated on stage.

Events like the Spring Showcase go beyond performance. They create space for young people to express themselves, build confidence, and feel supported by their community. By providing opportunities for youth to share their voices and talents, NIDC continues to foster environments where young people can grow, lead, and take pride in who they are becoming.
