Connecting Families to Housing Resources at PS/MS 89
On March 11, 2026, NIDC’s Housing Department visited PS/MS 89 to present housing resources and services to parents and caregivers in the school community.
Hosted in partnership with the PS 89 PTA, the presentation created an opportunity for families to learn more about the housing support available through NIDC. By connecting directly with parents, the session helped ensure that community members are aware of resources that can assist with housing challenges and promote long term stability.
Throughout the morning, NIDC staff shared information about services offered by the Housing Department and provided guidance on how families can access support. The presentation also allowed parents to ask questions and learn more about the resources available to them within the community.
Events like this are an important way for NIDC to connect directly with families and ensure that residents know where to turn when they need support. By bringing information into familiar community spaces such as local schools, NIDC continues working to expand access to services and strengthen housing stability across the Bronx.
