Summer Rising ends the season with fun and games: Field Day and volleyball competition

As another season of Summer Rising ended at PS/MS 89, both the NIDC staff and the youth participants made sure to maximize the fun!

Field Day on July 11 featured a full line-up of all the summer favorites, including all sorts of games, relay races, a rock-paper-scissors competition, an intense round of dodgeball and, possibly the overall winning activity, the ultimate water balloon fight! It was a fabulous day of joyful fun for all involved.

NIDC brought the energy to play on July 25 with a lively Staff vs Student Volleyball match – dodgeball on Field Day was just the warm-up! All the children had a blast challenging the adults and celebrating their wins while the staff enjoyed every minute of playful competition. Win or lose, everyone had such a great time that a rematch is in the works for next year.
