NATIONAL HEALTH CENTER WEEK at Union Community Health Center

As part of National Health Center Week, NIDC joined Union Community Health Center at its annual community block party to promote health and wellness. The August 5th event was a lively celebration, drawing approximately 200 adults and 200 children from the local neighborhood.

Well-attended and full of energy, guests were offered health resources, information and a host of giveaways from a variety of organizations. Mobile screening units were also available to provide essential health services, including the SBH Mobile Mammography Unit – where at least one attendee was able to have her first mammogram!

And, to keep everyone healthy in mind, body and spirit – there was music and plenty of dancing!
