Victory on the Field: NIDC’s PS 89 Team Wins Bronx Kickball Championship!

On June 3, 2025, our Youth Programs team had a lot to celebrate as the PS 89 kickball team brought home a major win at the MSAL Bronx Middle School Kickball Championship in Allerton!

Representing NIDC with pride and teamwork, our student-athletes faced off against Bronx Park and delivered an unforgettable performance, winning the championship game 11–2. The victory capped off a season of dedication, sportsmanship, and steady growth, and off the field.

With support from the MSAL (Middle School Athletic League) and a small but mighty group of three adult supporters, our 15 youth players gave it their all, showing what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

We’re incredibly proud of our champions for not only bringing home the win but doing so with heart and integrity. Congratulations to the PS 89 team—and thank you to the coaches, staff, and families who cheered them on every step of the way!
